121: How Words Can Break You or Make You with Mary Shores

Mary Shores

Can words really destroy or transform your life?

Can the choice of words you use mean the difference between failing and succeeding in everything you wish to achieve?

Do your words really shape your reality?

My guest today believes the answer is a resounding YES!

After an unexpected divorce, losing her first child, having to raise an autistic son and manage a stressful business Mary Shores hit rock bottom.

She spiraled into a deep depression and found herself losing all hope.
Until she discovered that by simply changing the words she used she could take back control of her life.

As always here’s a short rap I prepared for my guest.

Sometimes life ain’t fair, who could prepare for such despair.
Feelings of depression, the wild obsession, Therapy session after session, spiraling deeper in recession.

But then a moment of insight, we don’t have to fight for the right to ignite.

Life doesn’t have to be blurred, it’s all in the power of the word, liberated like a free bird. It may sound absurd.

Too good to be true, says the pessimistic you, but she’s living proof, that it’s true.

So now without further ado, I welcome to you, someone who can help open your doors, it’s the one and only Mary Shores!
